A little about me...
I am a stay-at-home mother-of-four turned 6th grade math teacher. I decided to combine my love of math and kids -- what a better way than to teach! Teaching is in my blood; my grandmother, father, aunt, and sister are all educators. I enjoy the fresh energy young students bring to school. Sharing with them the universal language of mathematics is truly my passion.
Math doesn't have to be boring! Using collaborative problem-solving and interactive activities brings math alive. Showing students how math connects to every subject, even art and music, can inspire young minds to look at mathematics in a new way.

Dan Meyer is one of many math teachers who inspire me and influence my classroom teaching. His 3-Act Math lessons are some of my favorites. To learn a little bit about his approach to mathematics teaching, I invite you to watch his TED talk below.
